no one local, family, have a small point/shoot you can borrow?

Not really. I still live a long ways from most of my friends and family. I’m estranged by my parents. If I was on speaking terms with them, I would still get a lot of grief if I borrowed anything so it wouldn’t be worth it.

Canon got back to us yesterday, they quoted us just under $215 for in warranty repairs. We paid it right away, but I’m not sure how long it will take to get fixed and be mailed back.

Pixie explored a garden in Lincoln City Oregon.

I’m having holy chocolate. I got it in Seattle a long time ago, but keep forgetting to try it. Of course, I like my chocolate to be alcoholic. So, I added a shot that was half 99 bananas and half home infused vanilla vodka.

Oh Bermann

Workspace Wednesday, belated. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the garage with my airbrush. The first photo shows a completed art commission of photography backgrounds. The second shows my airbrush. The third photo shows my improvised shelf with my paints and gloves, as well as my compressor. Next you see the mess I made on the floor painting the backdrops, and two photos with the extent of my mess. I’m trying out another table with my laptop and Bose to play Netflix and music while I work. I don’t know what it is, but I’m way more relaxed working with background music.

I don’t know if there it’s a smell on the kimono she likes, or if she’s just really into this guy, but Phyto will not leave me alone while I pose him. She has gotten in close for some sniffs and rubs. She knows the dolls are off limits, so she’s being very sly about it and pretending to keep her distance.

My camera is out for delivery to the repair center. Hopefully I find out in the next day or so what the damage is and how much it will cost if anything.

I’m so tempted to buy a small point and shoot in the mean time. For as often as I don’t use my camera, or am lazy about my photos, I feel like a giant part of me is missing. And more importantly I can’t get my work done. Nothing will sell online without photos and my phone won’t cut it.

I got back from my training weekend and since more than a few people seem interested in garage kits I sorted through the bajillion resin parts— came up with 18 complete Iphigenia kits with parts I consider workable, although they will require a LOT of work, whether it’s cutting or sanding or drilling or additive work with epoxy, as not all the colors even match. (see rather depressing photo.) This is not an easy garage kit, it is definitely not for beginners, and I advise anyone who takes me up on this to please, please, please outfit yourself with a good respirator and ventilation system before tackling this bad boy. The above photo is fairly representative of what you can expect from any one of the kits, except that the parts might match in color more or less.

They will be $50, 1/4 the original price, and this does not include shipping; I hope very much that this is reasonable. I will not ship outside the US, sorry— I lose too much money on fees.

I am making nothing from this, every penny will go towards refunds. Even if you’re not interested I would greatly greatly appreciate a signal boost— I would like nothing more than to refund my customers as quickly as humanly possible, and between this and my actual real life job, this is all I can do.

I’ll contact those of you who have specifically expressed an interest soon (or you can PM me again), otherwise thank you so much for taking a gander. I’m also trying to figure out how to make some of the decent heads into pendants (please let me know if you would be interested in those instead!) there were a surprising number of ok-looking extra heads after I put the kits together. No right knees though, and a surprising lack of right shins…

I’m mailing my camera to Canon tomorrow. Whatever isn’t covered by the warranty we will get an estimate for. Hopefully, it was something that was covered.

Wait, what happened here?  I know it is related to the beach and a Kyrie.

My camera stopped working after I turned it off from taking those photos and won’t turn back on. I don’t *think* it got wet, but I’m not sure. *cry* It was having other weird issues straight out of the box, so I guess we’ll see.
